Each year, recipients will be awarded the scholarship based on the listed criteria, with all proceeds being used to support their academic and athletic post-secondary expenses.

Our selection panel will review all applications submitted, use a 5 category ranking system and together decide who will be selected each calendar year.  Rankings are done privately by a minimum of 3 panel members and are combined to accumulate an overall applicant score across all 5 categories.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION CRITERIA:

​

• Must be a rostered student athlete entering 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year at a post-secondary institution

• Graduated from a New Brunswick, Capital Region High School

• Have a minimum GPA of 3.3 or a B+ average either cumulative or for the full previous academic year

• Able to show proof of school registration for the upcoming academic year

• Must complete the written application during the designated application time frame (May 15-August 15 of each calendar year)

 

HOW TO APPLY (SEND ALL DOCUMENTS IN A SINGLE E-MAIL):

1. E-mail transcript or official proof of current GPA to synergyfredericton@gmail.com

2. E-mail proof of official registration into the upcoming school year at a Canadian Post-Secondary Educational Institution

3. E-mail any document or link, showing you are a rostered, varsity athlete at a Canadian Post-Secondary Educational Institution

4. Send a maximum 1000 word written essay, describing yourself and explaining your contributions to your community, school, or sport. NOTE: You may also record a short video to attach to your e-mail in replacement of your essay.

5. Application deadline for 2023 is August 15th.
